When there’s something that’s just out of reach
Sitting high upon the shelf.
There’s no way I can get to it, at least not by myself.
There’s only one name I can call,
one whose reach will pass the test.
One who waits to hear my voice, one high above the rest.
Daddy’s arms are strong,
and Daddy’s arms are long.
Daddy’s arms stretch out and meet my needs.
Often I have questions,
Things don’t make sense to me,
This world can be so scary and so mean.
Sometimes bad things happen,
and I don’t understand,
but I have learned my Daddy’s got a plan.
Daddy’s arms reach down,
and Daddy lifts me up.
In Daddy’s arms there’s so much more I see.
But I’ve been known to run away,
and I’ve been known to hide.
But Daddy keeps on loving me, his arms stay open wide,
He calls me from my hiding place,
and he puts his hands on me.
He guides me with those big strong arms, to the place I need to be.
And when the day seems oh so long,
When life just has me beat.
Daddy’s arms are warm and safe, in Daddy’s arms, there’s peace.
Daddy’s arms surround,
and I am not afraid.
In Daddy’s arms, I cuddle up and sleep.
I don’t know what tomorrow brings,
I don’t know about tonight.
But I know here in my Daddy’s arms, I will be alright.
Daddy’s arms are strong,
and Daddy’s arms are long,
Daddy’s arms stretch out and meet my needs.
Daddy’s arms surround,
and I am not afraid.
In Daddy’s arms I cuddle up and sleep.
In all the earth, my favorite place to be, is in my Daddy’s arms
